Description
Petzl B17ARA ASCENSION Handled Rope Clamp a high performance, right handed rope clamp designed for rope ascents. The Petzl ASCENSION has an ergonomically molded handle, allowing the user a comfortable but powerful grip. The handle has a wide opening so it can be easily grasped, even when wearing thick gloves. The ergonomic upper part also maximises power when pulling with both hands. Compatible with 8mm to 13mm rope.
The ASCENSION rope clamp is lightweight (165g) yet extremely durable. The clamp has a fully integrated safety catch, helping to prevent snags. A toothed cam with self-cleaning slot optimises performance when working in difficult conditions (for example, when using dirty or frozen ropes). The wide lower hole allows for attachment of two carabiners for a lanyard and footlooop, and the upper hole for clipping a carabiner around the rope. Tested and certified to EN 567:2013 & EN 12841:2006 standards.
