MSA Latchways Personal Rescue Device is an integrated harness system allowing self-rescue when working at heights.  This lightweight, unobtrusive rescue device is contained in a small backpack.  This is attached to a full body harness and designed to be used alongside a fall protection system or anchor point.  There are two versions of the Latchways PRD available:

RH2:  Two point fall arrest harness (dorsal D-ring and chest D-ring).  Includes quick release buckles, adjustable length shoulder straps and leg straps.
RH3:  Four point fall arrest harness (dorsal D-Ring, chest D-Ring and 2 lateral D-rings for work positioning).  Includes quick release buckles, adjustable length shoulder straps, leg straps and waist belt with work positioning attachments.

In the event of a fall the PRD harness suspends the user and then allows them to gently lower themselves to the ground in a controlled descent.  The device also includes a 20m (65ft) spool of Aramid rope which is released at a controlled rate through an integral braking mechanism.  The innovative design uses quality components and a limited number of moving parts to always ensure 100% mechanical integrity.
