Description

DuPont™ Tychem® 6000 SFR Hooded Coveralls combine chemical protection with limited protection against flame spread.  Tychem® 6000 SFR disposable garments provide reliable protection against a wide range of toxic chemicals, particulates and biological hazards.  Suitable for a variety of industrial applications, including the energy industry, chemical processing, emergency services, hazmat teams and fire brigades.

The Tychem® 6000 SFR overalls are designed to provide an additional layer of protection when worn over a primary flame retardant garment.  They have a generous size for comfort, elasticated waist for freedom of movement and elasticated wrists and ankles for a secure fit.  The garment also features an innovative two-piece hood with covered elasticated face opening, designed to perfectly fit full face respirators.  The front closure has a auto-locking zipper system with a double storm flap that can be sealed with a double-sided adhesive strip.  Stitched and over taped seams provide additional resilience and protection against chemical ingress.

Tychem® 6000 SFR protective clothing conforms to EN ISO 14116 (limited flame spread).  It also meets the EN 14126:2003 requirements for protection against biological hazards in the highest performance class.  This makes Tychem® overalls suitable for use in a wide variety of high risk roles.  They also meet the requirement for EN 1073-2 (protection against contaminated radioactive particles and liquid hazards).  For further details, please see the DuPont™ Technical Bulletin – Nuclear Risks.
