Description

DuPont™ Tyvek® 500 Xpert BioCircle™ CHF5 Hooded Coveralls provide the same trusted protection as Tyvek® 500 Xpert, but with a significantly lower climate impact.  A third party life cycle assessment commissioned by DuPont™ identified an opportunity to reduce the climate change impact of their Tyvek® coveralls by using more sustainable raw materials.  An independent cradle-to-gate life cycle analysis (including biogenic carbon) shows at least 58% lower climate change impact compared to the Tyvek® 500 Xpert Coveralls in standard packaging.  Attributed to 100% bio-circular HDPE through an ISCC-certified mass balance approach.

Robust yet lightweight (under 180g per garment), the Tyvek® 500 CHF5 overalls offer reliable Type 5 and Type 6 protection.  The garments feature an innovative 3-piece hood which gives an optimal fit, even when using respiratory protection.  Elasticated face, wrists and ankles as well as glued-in waist elastic ensures a comfortable and secure fit.  The overalls offer ample freedom of movement and are easy to don and doff with a large, easy-to-grasp auto-lock Tyvek® zipper.

Tyvek® garments are made from flash spun, high density polyethylene, which gives a superb balance of comfort, durability and protection.  Tyvek® material is permeable to both air and water vapour, yet repels water-based liquids and aerosols.  It provides an excellent barrier against fine particles and fibres down to 1 micron in size.  It is also ultra-low-linting and anti-statically treated.  Silicon non-added.

Tyvek® 500 garments provide superior Type 5 and Type 6 protection, so they are ideal for use in a number of roles.  They have applications in medical care, chemical processing, the oil and gas industry, general cleaning and spray painting.  Tyvek® limited life products were used around the world in health care centres in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  They also meet the requirement for EN 1073-2 protection against contaminated radioactive particles.  For further details, please see the DuPont™ Technical Bulletin – Nuclear Risks.

The DuPont™ Tyvek® 500 Xpert BioCircle™ CHF5 hooded coveralls are available now at Safety Supplies in a range of sizes.  The coveralls are supplied individually packed and sealed for hygiene.  We also stock a range of Tyvek® 500 accessories including hoods, shoe covers and sleeves.  Safety Supplies is a DuPont™ authorised distributor in the United Kingdom market.  Call our friendly team today for further details on all of your PPE, disposable workwear and chemical protection needs.
