Flame Retardant (FR) workwear is designed to protect workers when there is a risk of exposure to heat and flames.
PPE offering FR protection is tested and certified under European standard EN ISO 11612. The performance requirements for this standard are also applicable to clothing designed to protect against a wide range of thermal risks. For example, exposure to convective heat, radiant heat, contact heat and splashes from molten metal.
